The Senior
Database Developer, DBA is primarily responsible for information
model development and database application development
on enteprise projects in a SQL Server 2003/2005 environment.
Will design and develop integration layers between multiple
databases using Enterprise tools. Will design support for
database performance, data integrity and replication. Also
responsible for developing and/or enhancing database standards
and best practices within the group. The Database Engineer
will create and maintain physical database structures, while
also monitoring database operations, analyzing and responding
to performance and other maintenance issues, and maintaining
and coordinating required security approaches from a database
standpoint. Candidate must be an expert in optimizing databases/database
servers, backup/recovery (point in time recovery), security
architecture, advanced replication (bidirectional, transactional),
log-shipping/standby, clusters, I/O sub-system tuning for
best performance (data file layout, RAID configuration, etc.),
various trace flag settings at SQL Server level (for debugging)
and performance-tuning of database SQL code.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 8+
years of demonstrated work experience in related field,
min 5 years Database Administration/Engineering experience
with MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 in a large, high transaction
environment. Programming Language: Prefer programming experience
in one of following: C, VB, C#, Java or Perl and TSQL,
SSIS. Database modeling and development experience in SQL
Server a must. Experience in Data migration and synchronization.
